I’ve used Daisy Disk since early 2013, and it is a delight: visually appealing, and an extremely effective way of finding and removing clutter on your computer, or identifying space hogs that might be candidates for optimizing. If you care about that sort of thing (and I understand if you don’t), this is a superb tool, and well worth the price.

I’ve been trying to clean up my mac for weeks. This took upwards of 3 minutes to clear out 50gigs. This is an amazing service and incredibly seemless

If you have a Macbook with a limited hard drive, you need this program. Daisy Disk radically simplifies finding space hogs and eliminating them. It’s been a staple on every Macbook I’ve had in the last six years, and it’s so good that I get mad that there’s no decent Windows alternative every time I fill up an SSD on a Windows computer. Using Daisy Disk is incredibly better than manually poking around with Finder or piping du -hs * to a file and trying to do some Excel juju to figure out what to delete to get my disk back.

I love Daisy Disk in that it helps me easily find content that I don’t necessarily need on my computer, and helps me free up space on it.

This is excellent for managing your hardrive space and getting rid of old unwanted files. You can quickly and easily pinpoint what’s eating up your hardrive space.

After constantly having to restart my computer becuase of a full drive, I bought daisy disk and found 50 gigs of crap i never needed! Thanks daisy disk!

What the heck? Super simplistic program scans laptop and comes up with files that can be deleted. Hopefully files that arent used regularly - ones that are hidden, caches, ‘other’, etc. Zthis app actually ‘discovered’ a full folder of 15 customer folders. I could have drug them to the trash on my own! Thank goodness I have back ups. waste of $10 and more importantly my time. And I still have 3/4 of my hard drive filed with ‘other” files that it promised it will clean.

A must have app for Mac owners!

I’ve been looking for an app like this for a while now! It’s very easy to use and especially in macbook, some files are hidden and you just don’t know where to find them. With this app, just scan and it will let you show it in the finder. And it’s drag and delete! Easy and smooth as butter! well done on this one. very simple! GOOD JOB!!! 10STARS!

Quick, simple, easy to use. My only complaint is that there isn’t a quickly visible error message when a file fails to delete in-app. If there was a clear and concise dialog on an error, this would easily be 5 stars.

I don’t often write reviews, but this application is hands-down the best application on my computer... As a gamer, programmer, music enthusiast, and web designer, I constantly find myself overburdened with a bunch of junk files left over from old games, downloads, projects, etc. Unfortunately, I often forget (or don’t even realize) which folders and files are wasting the most memory. DaisyDisk is the ultimate solution to that problem. With the best user interface and visualizations I’ve seen on the market, I highly recommend this for anyone who’s constantly dealing with memory management.

I bought this this morning and “scanned” my disk drives with it. Tonight, every Logic Pro project that I open has files that are “missing”. I can find them, but I have to spend valuable time searching my computer for them. DaisyDisk did something to my directory structure. This thing should be pulled off the market and fixed!

DaisyDisk is so fantastic that Apple could have written it. Every detail is well thought out. When I first saw the spiky circles I thought it couldn’t be very useful. Boy was I wrong! I have been using graphical tools to illustrate how my disk space is allocated, for at least 30 years (I’ve been developing software for 50 years). I have never, ever, anywhere, anytime seen such a brilliant and *useful* design for helping me drill down to what matters. At the same time I bought this, I also bought Disk Expert. It seems so similar that I assume one of the authors modeled their design on that of the other. However, DaisyDisk has touches and elegance that make it stand above. For instance, the use of complementary colors in the circles is *so* important and helpful! Even if you never care where your space is used, you should rush out and buy this, just to see art performed before your very eyes.

I am a very visual person, therefore visualizing how much space has been used on my disk is very important to me. I can get rid of sections bloating my disks and see it in a pie format. Also, this application is real, unlike a bunch of junk I am sceptical about purchasing, I know that this is actually a sound product that does not have inflated reviews like so many apps in this store. I see tons and tons of fake inflated reviews.

Seriously, DaisyDisk is fast, responsive and its infographics clear to understand. I was able to sniff out ~40GB of junk on my disk that had no reason for being.

I use a Mac Mini as a Server and could not for the life of me figure out why the disk was 95% full. I had >200GB of ‘Other’ clogging up a 320GB drive, and I couldn’t download updates because the drive was at capacity, and performance was garbage. This app saved me and extended the life of what is really a pretty low use machine. I uncovered that Server had been keeping software updates stretching back to 2008 (its late 2015 as I write this) within about 5 minutes. The app couldnt delete the updates but I was able to figure out what to do in a few minutes and got my machine back. Super easy to use and fast.

Excellent visualization and easy access to delete the content that is clogging up your computer. Much better than any of the other applications I have used that do this.

This utility did not show me anything I couldn’t easily find and identify on my own. It was absolutely no help in locating the mysterious 60gig of “OTHER” taking up residence in my hard drive. I give it two stars because it is at least easy to use, and the graphics are nice. Overall, though, this app is WAY overpriced.

awesome app!! I’ve used a few apps with this functionality (grandperspective, etc.) and this is the best one by far

The price is very far and it works in a super intuitiive manner. The only odd thing is the hotkeys, but it really isn’t a keyboard navigated application. For example putting items to delete in a collection. Command - delete is the hotkey, but you have to have the mouse hovering the item. This means letting go of the mouse to use the keyboard. I just end up using the mouse. This is very minor though, because using the mouse or trackpad is really what it is designed for and works great.
