I was wondering how to free HDD space from junk… buyed DaisyDisk and, in a couple of minutes… DONE! Don’t look any further: you’re just one-click away to solve your (free space) problems! One of the greatest interface I ever seen: WYSIWYG!!! Must-buy.

I had hidden trash folders that were found through this simple process and freed up over 40 GB. Only took a few clicks and about 15 minutes for the app to do the rest. Saved me from buying a new computer…for now!

I never write reviews, but honestly this program is amazing. So easy to visualize exactly what is taking up your space, and it makes it so simple to quickly clear out unessesary items. I was about to drop over a hundred dollars on an external drive but didnt need to after downloading this excellent tool. I 100% recommend it.

For some time now I’ve been bothered by a discrepancy between the space available on my rMBP 13 and my rMBP 15, although both are set up very similarly and have all the same files, documents, etc., on them. The 13” is older (purchased and used since early 2015) and the 15” was purchased in late 2015. Both are used on a daily basis. There was a 70 GB discrepancy between them and I could not figure out what it was. Daisy Disk solved the problem for me! I could see clearly what was on each machine and compare item-by-item. Didn’t take long to find the culprit. It was something called “com.apple.bird” and once I checked to be sure it would be safe to delete it, I did so — and voila! Now my two machines are more-or-less at the same capacity and usage level, the way they should be. This is a very useful application to have on my computers and I will be using it periodically to keep track of things and to clear out unnecessary cruft as it appears. Very pleased…..

Looking for another way to get rid of duplicates of any kind, I looked at the reviews of Daisy Disk ready to use to solve my problem. Unfortunatelly, and since I am no PRO in computer programing, I accidentally erased all of my music by happily cliking away using the pretty colors of the wheel. BE aware that Daisy DOES clean up your files- even the ones that you need.

This app has made cleaning up files so much easier. In a matter of weeks my computer had a TON of space gone. Other programs only clear cache files, but this shows you the breakdown of what is taking up so much space. That made it so much faster and simple to clear off 27GB off of my laptop. I only have 256GB total on my SSD, and this allows the SSD to run faster and longer. Clearing un-needed files is always a good thing for the longevity of a computer :) The interface is easy to use, and I am really satisfied with the program. The cost is way worth it. It looks like they have spent considerable effort making it user friendly.

Simple and easy to use, I just deleted 79 GB of my storage and the price is reasonable

great tool, its not easy to find apps that do what they claim to do. this one just works. excellent performance. hope I will not need to come back to write a 1 star review with a bad update

This app is great for bulk deleting files. As a developer, my computer fills up with a lot of stuff that I don’t need. This app helps me keep things clean and tidy. Just buy the app and support these developers so I can keep getting updates.

The app is easy to set up, intuitive to use, and remarkably helpful for clearing out files. I was hesitant to spend the money for the app instead of taking the DIY approach, but it’s worth it if you’re looking for a time saver. I spent half the morning trying to figure out what to clear out on my own; the app helped me see what could be removed in less than 20 minutes. One happy hard drive and happy customer here.

I use this app to visualize my disk usage and to guide my cleanup process. It’s visually exactly what I wanted.

Just cleaned out 15GB in 3 minutes. I knew there was garbage hiding somewhere! Great tool, fun interface.

Love this app. It helped me find 5GB of files I no longer required. The graphic interface is incredibly user friendly & located the files I no longer required in a few seconds. Great app enjoying it very much!

I found 50 GB worth of things that I don’t use, and it cleared it up nicely! (This is just my experience.) Totally worth 10 dollars! I’m still going to use it, I don’t need any dumb virus-ridden online mac cleaners!

DaisyDisk is a very efficient and effective tool. I believe all Apple consumers should have it installed as a necessity tool. It is incredibly simple and user friendly. I was able to clean up my SSD and use DaisyDisk to assist me in moving files to my HDD. After that initial clean-up, I have gone back to DaisyDisk periodically to do routine cleanup and maintenance. A very awesome tool to have for music producers, editors, programmers, etc.

with only having the 256 Gb SSD on MacBook Pro you dont have much space to waste!!! Adobe and Final Cut Made a bunch of auto saves and revisions and ate up about 95 Gb. Downloaded Dasiy Disk , DD scanned the HD Disk quickly and found I had 80GB of auto saved material that wasnt needed any more quickly deleted it and now have around 175 Gb of free space on my HD.

I first dabbled with some free tools. However, they were unintuitive and i spent a lot of time trying to find the right files to delete. Daisy Disk’s UI is very intuitive and after 5min of poking around (and having watched the video on the website), deleting files was a breeze. Make sure you have Time Machine backups though!

This app doesnt try to do much, and thats why its so successful. Figure out your disk space, and what to get rid of or put elsewhere. Awesome.
